At Trendy and Tipsy®, we’ve always taken our responsibilities to you, our employees, and our community very seriously. In the time of COVID-19, we’ve had to make many adjustments to maintain our core values in these rapidly changing times. Rest assured, we remain your go-to for the hottest, trendiest festival wear, repurposed vintage clothing, and chic street wear. But since the world was turned upside down and shaken, we’ve picked ourselves up and rearranged not what we do but how we do it.

Re-Opened for Limited Hours, But 24/7 Online

We’re excited to announce that we have re-opened our Pacific Beach storefront! Come on in and check out our latest fashions. We’re currently open from 12 - 5pm for in-person shopping. Of course, our online store is rocking 24/7.  We’re doing everything possible to make you both comfortable and safe as you browse our trendy styles. All employees and shoppers who enter the store must wear masks while on the premises. You’ll notice that we are frequently sanitizing all counters and surfaces that have been touched. We also wipe down the dressing room after every use. Don’t worry — we’re still eager to chat with you about your plans and to answer your questions as we clean. We are all maintaining social distance, but as we know, trendy babes can make themselves heard! At this time, there is a limit of just 6-10 shoppers in the store at a given time at the employees’ discretion, so we can be sure to keep the premises clean and safe for you.

Just before COVID-19 hit, we were nearly ready to open our new showroom shopping experience. It’s been a labor of love for us and we’re eager to share with you the fun and exciting innovations we’ve made. Just as soon as it is deemed safe to do so, we’re going to throw a big, Grand Opening party and YOU are invited. Watch your emails to be the first to know.

Following CDC Guidelines as We Pack Your Orders

Once you’ve chosen all your items, (including a sexy swimsuit for summer or a handmade vintage chain tank to add awesome attitude to any day of the week) you’re ready to check out. Our website does its thing and you’re on to your way. But this is the point where we leap into action, to fill your order and get your spiffy threads ready for you.

Our staff of essential personnel (as if any trendy babe is ever not essential!) routinely wash their hands and practice social distancing. We’re all wearing our face masks and are following all CDC guidelines to ensure we keep you and each other safe. #BePartOfTheSolution

We keep these behaviors in place as we source genuine vintage clothing, accept deliveries, work on handmade and embellished pieces, review our stock and as we package your orders. 

Choose Our Doorstep or Yours

Shipping during COVID-19 is working well and reliably, but there are occasional delays with our shipping partners. We so appreciate your patience! To demonstrate our appreciation, we are temporarily providing free shipping on all orders, big or small throughout the continental United States. So sit back and relax and we’ll send your order to you.

Or maybe not. If you are local and prefer to pick up your order at our warehouse, we are now offering in-store and curbside pick-up. If you’re not local, but in the mood for a road trip, come on down! The freeways are running smoothly with little traffic and the weather is gorgeous. If you prefer to pick up the order at our Pacific Beach store front, we can do that too. Just contact us to make arrangements in advance.

Doing Our Part

Sourcing and repurposing genuine vintage clothing is an important part of our regular business model. When COVID-19 hit, we realized we were ideally set up to become a part of the solution. We’ve taken our stockpile of vintage t-shirts and harnessed local manufacturing capabilities to create a line of one-of-a-kind face masks for you, your family, and friends to wear when you’re outside or in public to help slow the spread of the virus. These are not medical grade masks or the KN95 masks so desperately needed by medical care heroes and first responders. We believe the medical masks should be reserved for health care professionals in this time of short supply.

Our Trendy and Tipsy® face masks are for healthy people who want to be responsible and show respect for their community. We’ve got masks made from acid washed bandanas. We’ve repurposed vintage t-shirts into awesome masks sporting graphic artwork for bands like Metallica, Iron Maiden, and Nirvana. You’ll find tie dyed styles, animal prints, plaid flannel with and without fun trim detailing, a black mask studded with rhinestones and much more. Every mask we sell is machine washable and reusable to keep you and others safe. 

The latest research on COVID-19 suggests that wearing masks like ours outdoors and in public will reduce your chance of airborne exposure and slow the overall spread of the coronavirus. It’s also a way to show others you care and respect their health, too. As we see people in masks at the grocery store, the feeling that we are all in this together is very strong. It looks like we’ll be doing this to some degree for quite some time, so why not be fun and fashionable with it?

For every handmade, fashion-fierce face mask we sell, we are donating a surgical mask or a KN95 mask to our local medical facilities. Stay safe and help healthcare professionals — it's a Win-Win. In addition to our selection of trendy, one-of-a-kind face masks, we have launched a new product line of comfy loungewear to make your time spent at home more cozy. Oversized jumpers and tees are made from super-soft knit, with mod details like dropped shoulders and chunky cuffs with thumbholes. Each piece sports the slogan United We Chill paired with contemporary graphics. The too-cool-to-care vibe is perfect paired with joggers for a day spent at home.
